In 2016 I was a mess. It was my first year experiencing freedom, growth, ownership of my life, and I took advantage of it ALL. The band worked hard grinding, opening doors, and sharing new experiences, I landed a full-time job FINALLY worth smiling for, and most importantly I was FREE from emotional burdens of the previous year. I felt on top of the world, like a spoiled child given everything and kept wanting. It came at a price... I became narciccistic, egotistical, self-centric, and emotionally detatched. 2026 me would have hated this person... Well, I’m a better person now so THANK YOU for still being my friend, for putting up with my ish, and for spending ANY time with me lol, you’ve all contributed to a better Tyson Dang! 🥰 PART TWO: 2025 was also about building relationships with others while learning about myself. Even through the smallest event, either within a minute, or over a day, these moments shape us to become who we will be tomorrow. 🫨 PART ONE: 2025 was a year about pivoting, recalculating, transitioning, and truly testing my stress threshold. Photos not in order (TRIGGER WARNING on the last one!) Nursed Mama Dang after she broke an arm, did a weekend drive to Tennessee to rescue my drums (drove more than slept), TWO family weddings, new music projects with new friends, released a SOLO ALBUM (performed a song at a wedding), celebrated many milestones between Jane and myself, new (old) job, stream upgrades, went to Japan, Korea, and Florida (Disney) all within a month… I spent a lot of time this year in my head, lost in thoughts, ideas, worries, and self-doubt. I’m thankful during those tough time I had the greatest women beside me: Mom, Jane, and Eevee (yes, my cat.) Thank you for the endless guidance & reminders of life. To my new & old friends, thank you for adding memories & building a better me. Thank you 2025. You’re up 2026.
